About Me
you are here: dave j fox » about me
I went to study Graphic Design in BCFE (Ballyfermot College) and when I finished that I began working for a Dublin based design agency. Not long after I started in working (actually, about a month after I started) I found that print design wasn't really for me, I found it kinda repetitive and boring, so I decided to make the move to web design.
Under the tuition of a web standards and xhtml/css expert, I quickly took to web design and became fascinated with it, and vowed never to look back. After I learned the basics of xhtml and css I decided it wasn't enough and started gearing myself towards accessibility and usability standards.
Since going freelance, between working on projects I have been developing my skills in other areas that will help enhance the skills I already posses.
Skill Set
For design I use the usual Adobe softwares, and a variety of code editors. I can work on Mac OS X & Windows. I have a decent knowledge of office software, like Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Open Office etc.
I have a good knowledge of PC hardware, and am very interested in new and explorational technologies. I am also an amateur photographer. When not working I can usually be found on www.paintballer.ie .
